Dave has over 18 years in human resources roles in the public and not-for-profit sectors.

These include; WorkSafe New Zealand, the State Services Commission, Department of Labour, New Zealand Defence Force, Department of Conservation, Work and Income New Zealand, and the PSA in a union organiser role.

Shorter term roles have been in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Brotherhood of St Laurence (a not-for-profit based in Victoria, Australia), and Land Information NZ.

Dave has experience in roles at manager, principal advisor and senior practitioner level within operational human resources, employment and industrial relations.
