The three C's - courtesy, civility, charitable
Dave Scott
Talking to many people when investigating claims of bullying and harassment, the absence of constructive relationships often lies at the heart of the issues between complainant and respondent.
Three words often come to mind when investigating these complaints:
Courtesy; the showing of politeness in one's attitude and behaviour towards others
Civility; polite, respectful and reasonable behaviour
Charitable; apt to judge others leniently or favourably
Application of these three C's could go a long way to improving our workplaces.
