Ever turned up to the wrong meeting?

I recently signed up through Meetup.com to some network meetings in Wellington. All good so far as I headed off to the Small Business Group meet up at the Biz Dojo.

Arrived, asked where the network meeting was and got directed to one of the rooms. Met Suki who was presenting a session on My Journey to Becoming a Change Agent.

Did seem a slightly different title to the expected The Future of Work and Why Management Needs to Change but I thought some latitude with the slideshow title was no problem.

As the session started I had the dawning realisation that I was at the wrong meeting. Oh well, I thought, might as well join in.

So thanks to Suki and the Agile Welly group for teaching me about Agile. It was very interesting to hear about techniques of sprint planning, retrospective, and scrum-masters. 

I am definitely going to ask more clearly for directions to the Small Business Group session next time. Still, going to the wrong meeting did open up new learning!
